Windham Weaponry Varmint Exterminator Precision Rifle

This is one rifle designed for pinpoint accuracy if you know how to look at a firearm. The Windham Weaponry Varmint Exterminator has great balance as a requirement for precision firearms. I got to spend a whole day with this rifle three times and it always feels like I can hit anything I aim at. Not only is it very accurate, it's very comfortable too. With a full-length handguard and nicely padded buttstock, you can't get enough of this rifle from Windham Weaponry. It's going to be lights out everytime you pull the trigger.

This semi-automatic rifle has a 20-inch barrel length made from stainless steel fluted matte finish. It shoots .223 caliber with a 5-shot magazine capacity. There are no front and rear sights, only Picatinny rail platforms ready for your optics of choice. It also features a knurled pistol grip and skeletonized stocks, all at an overall weight of 8.2 pounds.

Ease of Use and Performance

As a precision rifle, this varmint exterminator is made to hit the target. It's extremely accurate and noticeably snug when you're engaged in firing position. Felt recoil is reduced due to its padded stocks. The hard coat black anodized finish makes this firearm very durable from forged 7075-T6 aluminum. Adding up your desired optics will bring out the “Deadshot” in you.

The manual safety lever of this rifle has indicator markings on both sides of the receiver. This is to ensure its visibility when you're not in shooting mode. This varmint exterminator's durability is enhanced by a forged 7075 T6 aircraft aluminum with its receiver, along with an aluminum trigger guard. The Hogue rubber pistol grip feels really good on your hands and allows you great control. On a side note, precision rifle or not, I still believe it would be nice if they included built-in front and rear sights on this firearm.

Overall Verdict and Price

At around $1295, this rifle from Windham Weaponry is the ultimate deal for me. The materials used to manufacture along with the design and superb balance makes it all worth your dollar. I've always wanted to have one of these stationed on a decent tripod in my bedroom. That's going to be one heck of a home defense gun in that case.

If you haven't heard about Windham Weaponry don't be too quick to close your doors. They're not as popular as some of the old names in the business, but they sure make fine top quality firearms good enough to complete in the market. The varmint exterminator is a dedicated predator model making a name for itself in precision rifles. I highly recommend this rifle to shooters looking for a gun to mount their best optics.
