The Great American Outdoor Show is in full swing, up in frigid Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
There are a lot of things to see, and I'm only about a third of the way done, so far. Good thing I'll be back for a couple more days. Oh, and make sure you stay tuned, because Gun Carrier Radio is recording their first podcast this week, live from the show floor.
Anyway, I saw some good products today. There are a few that stand out in my memory, however, as both unique and brilliant–to the point where I had to take them home with me.
Urban Carry, for example, is a new holster maker that is…well, different.
The holster is hard to explain, but I'll give it a go. It is basically two pieces of leather sewn together, that you can carry appendix–or anywhere in front of your hips. After the break in period is over, which I'm told by the owner of the company lasts about a week, you can barely feel that the holster is there.
You slide your pistol into the holster as far as it'll go, and then slide it into your pants. Oh, and you have to attach the one part to your belt. I'm a holster snob. So, I generally only keep two different holsters on hand that I absolutely swear by, but I can say that I'm excited for this one. All you need to do, is pull up on the tab, and the gun slides out of the waistband like magic.
Like I said, it isn't easy to explain, but the below video will do a much better job, so I'll just shut up and let you watch it. There will be a review to follow, after I've had the chance to wear this new holster around town for a bit.
Here is a short video that shows the holster in use.
