How Idiots with Gun Can Teach You How to Do It Right
Target Practice Without a Backstop Is a Gun Fail, Big Time
It's been a while since we've done idiots with guns post, so I figured today would be a great day for it. Check out this gem of a video.
We've been sharing posts with you about how you should do it properly, or people do it right. How about we also show you gun fails or how people get it wrong so you know how it could be done right.
Okay, you'll need to fast forward a couple of minutes, because they are just talking at first. Shortly after this lady starts shooting, you realize she's shooting towards a road. With no backstop. The gun she's using? A .500 S&W.
Damn. That's a big projectile to be sending downrange without anything to stop it. Then again, I wouldn't shoot a .22lr without a backstop because it could still kill some unsuspecting kid on a bicycle. Or someone who broke down a mile up the road.
At about 3 minutes into the video, you can see a house on the other side of the lady when she's talking. So, there are other people living on that road. Who's to say they wouldn't drive by on their way home from breakfast?
The lesson here, folks, is we need to take our hobby very seriously. I'm all for training and doing it as often as possible. But, we need to make sure we do it as safely as possible, whenever we do the train.
The last thing we need is for someone to get shot. Then, if this person gets dead, and you become a statistic.
So don't do it and be like these gun-range idiots. Train properly. Enjoy the video!
Watch the video from Exoman to see for yourself:
Idiots with guns is a recipe for a disaster and with the current issues on gun control, you would do good to not contribute to the gun mishaps stat liberals use against gun owners including responsible ones. You would also do good to learn from these idiots with guns mistakes rather than yours.
***Editor's Note: It has come to our attention they were using a backstop. It was, however, much further back and out of view from the camera. Still, make sure you're all safe when shooting.

Saw editors note. Glad they were using a backstop…& also saw a comment that, that’s their property & those aren’t homes in the background. They looked like they were using all the gun safety rules correctly & seemed, to me, that they knew what they’re doing. That was one big-a$$ gun!!
Private drive folks! beyond that – a 14 foot high berm – beyond that- huge track of wooded PRIVATE land. Oh…and those aren’t houses, they are out buildings on their own, huge, private acreage. Get a life people, and do a little research before you start slinging mud in someone elses yard!!

If that is the case, then we stand corrected.
