Everybody’s all-time favorite firearm was made plentiful at SHOT Show 2016. There were plenty of variants of the famous MP5, from those built on original HK machines, to those custom made by people who’ve dedicated their lives to making them better than the originals were.
And, to be honest, it was a nice break from all of the different AR variants that were being shown off. Hey, I love the AR platform. But, I love MP5s just a bit more.
A good example of what I’m talking about here, is this beauty from Brethren Armament:
Ain’t she purdy?
Anyway, they went on the record to say that their MP5 is guaranteed to stand up to, and surpass, any other variant on the market. The rep said that it didn’t matter if it went up against a clone or licensed production model.
I was given his word that the Brethren Armament MP5 would outshine any other. Period.
I’m game. I still have the Zenith Z5K in my safe at home, and I am willing to test one of Brethren’s firearms to see what it can do against a machine originally manufactured on HK equipment.
Stay tuned, because if they send me one, I’m gonna run it like an ISIS member fleeing a bacon festival.
