Legally Armed Man Fired After Pulling Weapon To Save Life

Published

on

Defensive gun uses are on the rise. And so is stupidity, as it would seem.

An employee of a company contracted with General Motors has claimed to be fired after he pulled his concealed handgun from its holster to prevent a woman from being continuously stabbed.

Please note here, that she was already in the process of being stabbed by her attacker.

Wait, in which foreign world does a hard-working man lose his job because he saved someone’s life?

Though GM denies it, the man was reportedly told: “You shouldn’t have had a firearm here. After this is done he needs to be escorted off the property. He’s not welcome back here.”

Here is GM’s response, via Fox News 2.

It turns out that, the man’s former employer had a very strict no-guns policy that he was never told about when he was hired. Of course, another way of looking at a “no guns policy” from our point of view is, “we don’t value life enough for you to have a gun to protect yourself or others, so leave it at home.”

Hmm.

It should go without saying that, if this story happened how it is being told, he’s a hero. And, a kind of martyr—if that can happen without actually dying.

Either way, not everybody is against him. The mayor and police are calling him a hero, and rightly so. Sadly, the man is now unemployed during a time when it isn’t exactly easy to get a job. Maybe he should look into personnel protection. It seems like he’s got the aptitude for it.

What do you think? Has stupidity run rampant in the US of A? Yep. Sadly, we didn’t even need for this particular incident to happen to see that much.

Leave your input in the comments section. Here’s another story about Defensive Gun Use, enjoy!
