Keanu Reeves has absolutely lit up the internet with his 3-gun shooting course video. Let's find out his stance on gun control.

Keanu's 3-Gun Course: Where Does He Stand on the Gun Debate?

What is a 3-gun course? 3-gun is a shooting course using three types of firearms – a shotgun, a rifle, and a handgun. The shooter will go through a series of long distance and short distance shooting to showcase his skill with each gun type.

Mr. Reeves' Impressive Skill with the Gun

Keanu Reeves is no stranger to guns, with his countless gunfight scenes on the big screen. I can honestly say that his skill and command of each weapon is nothing short of amazing.

It certainly looks like he participated in numerous gun competitions in 3-gun nation. Being an A-list star probably affords him some of the best training available.

While this video is on Keanu Reeves' gun training for movies, we wonder what his stance is on guns and the much-debated gun control or the second amendment.

Is Keanu Reeves Pro-Second Amendment?

Keanu Reeves got many of us gun enthusiasts excited with his video shooting a 3-gun course layout. This may be only part of this training for his hit movie John Wick, but we're excited just the same.

It is not every day we see these Hollywood A-listers go on an action-packed training shooting guns. I was curious, though… Where does Mr. Wick stand on the second amendment and on American's basic right to own a weapon for self-defense?

So, I did a little digging. Surprisingly, or not — depending on how you look at things— he doesn't take the same stance of your average movie star.

Instead, he has been quoted by independent.co.uk as saying: “You mean should citizens be able to have a weapon? Yeah, why not? I am not fundamentally against citizens having access to a weapon, but I think that it has complications, the use of it. It's probably not the wisest thing. Personally, I don't own a weapon.”

I really wish he would have expounded more upon what he thought the complications were, and what isn't the “wisest thing,” but the fact remains that he isn't against people owning guns. At least, he wasn't back in 2008 when this interview occurred.

Watch Keanu Reeves Shooting 3-Gun in this video from Gun Tactical:

In my own opinion, this is a much better stance than the garbage most celebrities spew whenever they condemn the 2A. Perhaps, even the Baba Yaga-killer steers clear of the anti-second amendment mob.

At least he's not being hypocritical about it like many of the actors who are rabid pro-gun control yet star in a dozen or so action movies involving guns. It's frustrating to see these so-called actors or social justice warriors take a hit at law-abiding citizens and not the perpetrators of a crime.

Here's a novel idea: just entertain us and leave the politics to those who are paid to be politicians.

In a constitutional Republic at the common law, the public servants get to perform only those things privileged to them. What is not specifically allowed, IS ABSOLUTELY DENIED.

Neither the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution allow for the public servants to act upon firearm possession by lawful citizens, NOR do they get to “create/form” a Militia.

The Framers feared future corrupt, tyrannical governments and as even a 3 year old in Kindergarten knows, no tyrannical government would ever allow….EVER ALLOW…. the creation of an armed Citizens Militia, said Citizens out for the heads of the corrupt government.

Only the People get to form armed Militias.

I know I come to the party late, but I am amazed that some you take exception to people with a different view on the 2a. Our ability to speak our mind in public is the bedrock of our country. Please disagree with others on issue you care about, but please be civil about it. Personal attacks simply cause people not to listen to you. Your opinion is as important as any other, but those other opinions should not be ridiculed because they disagree with you.

As you can see, it is 2022 and this country, My country, is being torn apart by public discourse. It does not have to be this way.

    “…but I think that it has complications…”

…which is that lords don’t want serfs to rule. Robots should do as they’re programmed to do. You don’t come from the 1%. Sit down. Shut up. Otherwise, Bruno, our faithful uniformed gun-toting automaton will help you find your way to the “exit.”

Keanu sounds like he has a libertarian attitude about guns, as in, yes you have a fundamental right to protect yourself
“I am not fundamentally against citizens having access to a weapon”, and also recognizes that each bullet fired in self-defense comes with a lawyer attached “but I think that it has complications, the use of it.”. Doesn’t own one (he says), but shoots like a freakin pro, and doesn’t disparage ownership. “It’s probably not the wisest thing.”… for most, untrained people? Probably, yes. Maybe I’m putting words in his mouth here, but I’ve seen many people who have never held a gun tremble with adrenaline shakes when handed an unloaded firearm in their first training. This is not an in-depth interview about his attitude on guns, but one comment in a wider interview. He probably doesn’t quote Charlton Heston, because he still has a viable career and has few allies in tinseltown. Same basic reason I never post gun shit publicly on Facebook and use a pseudonym on sites like this.

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. My issue with so many actors is that they are complete hypocrites who blather about the need for gun control or the complications of citizens owning guns, while getting rich portraying people using guns in every way possible. The other aspect of actors, or celebrities in general expressing their opinions is that they have a natural forum to express that opinion to a lot of people while most of the rest of us are pretty much restricted to a very small audience. Finally, celebrities seem to think they’re experts on pretty much everything and everyone else needs to listen to their opinions just because they are famous for some narrow specialty like acting (essentially getting rich pretending to be something they are not), signing or being able to catch a football. A great example of this is the singer Otep, who regularly expresses her opinion that the Republican Party should be disbanded and Conservative men killed. She calls it Menocide.

So, to be clear, this is an article about his opinion on gun control wherein you say you don’t want his opinion because as an actor he’s not allowed to have one…unless he agrees with your opinion..in which case he IS allowed to have an opinion….. Um…okay.

You’ve a point, Arturo. Regrettably, many people in America today want to be ruled by career politicians and informed by actors and athletes. The essence of the American polity — that the ordinary adult human being can govern himself, directly responsible only to God, his neighbor, and himself for his own actions — seems to have been forgotten and traduced by more and more people.

Perhaps this is inevitable when people now come to America just for material benefit, with no thought of either societal obligations or spiritual state.

I was impressed with his skill just thought he needed to clean up the transition from pistol to rifle and rifle to pistol. A little clumsy with the holstering.

To finish my rant i want to ask why do these dirtbags with money think that they are so much wiser to make choices for others you just take care of you and you let me take care of me and we will have a great understanding of how to live with one in other on this planet we share

Ah, movie stars and other Hollywood types aren’t wiser than WE, THE PEOPLE. This is why our Forefathers gave us the BILL OF RIGHTS to guard against people who THINK they have more power than we do and this also include POLITICIANS. I ignore these SMALL minds with big egos, power-hungry people in the MSM. They think they can usurp power over the average American, but I think when push comes to shove, WE, THE PEOPLE WILL SHOVE BACK. Don’t you think? I DO. And this will include ANY KIND OF GUN CONFISCATION that the American government or the United Nations TRIES to do to us. IT WON’T WORK. AMERICANS LOVE THEIR GUNS.

If it really bothers you that much, then Facebook or Twitter them, but BE KIND because not being civil will make us all look bad in their ALL-POWERFUL, ALL-KNOWING EYES 😉

GOD GIVES MANKIND RIGHTS. Man tries to take them away. The minute the government comes to my door to try and get my LEGAL guns, is the moment I will die for those GOD-GIVEN rights. They better have more men than I have bullets, but I don’t think they will as I have been preparing for THAT DAY for many years BECAUSE I know what is coming………..and I STILL SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT because God is on my side 😉

When I hear Stallone say such stupid shit like the police should go house to house it really pisses me off why? Because this turd an afford the best security money can buy while others have very little and having a weapon to defend one’s family from nut jobs out there. That same Constitution that allowed him to have a free market to become a star allows me the notion to be able to protect self as well as family and friends.

      March 27, 2016 at 4:05 PM

They will go to HIS house first. And, when the govt/Police cannot get all the guns, what will they do when riots break out and the people who do STILL have guns, begin shooting back?

This is why WE, THE PEOPLE, good, hard-working LEGAL Americans need to stand UNITED under one common goal: THE BILL OF RIGHTS FOR AMERICANS and that includes our 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms. The ONLY way they will take that away from me is IF THEY KILL ME FIRST. But, I am too prepared. I will at least, get 99,999,999,999,999 rounds off first if the come to my door for gun confiscation. WHAT A HOOT.

What about Stallone?! Rambo is one of the biggest hypocrites in Hollywood! He has made millions off of movies like Rambo, and other rolls where he portrayed a good guy using firearms to kill bad guys, yet he has publicly denounced the 2nd Amendment, and has stated that the police should go “house to house” and confiscate everything – guns, ammo., reloading supplies, etc….

I have said for years the words liar, idiot, liberal, democrat, & hypocrite are all the same definition, guess we can add hollywood elite to that. With there personal bodyguards, private guarded schools for their kids, secure homes, etc. I suppose they don’t need a private weapon, same applies to politicians, they are all hypocrites! Hillary fired 2 people for using private e-mails to send messages, & those were not top secret! Because it was aganist rules & regulations of the State Dept., yet it’s o.k. for a democrat of her status to break the rules.
