New Gun Control Laws On The Horizon
This may, or may not, come as a surprise to you. But there are plenty of people who want to take away your right to own a firearm. They want to make it extremely difficult for you to buy one. Some of these people use language such as, register the guns. Or, let's have a tax on them. Or, let's make gun owners buy some form of “gun insurance.”
Any way you slice it, all of those terms being thrown around have the same goal, and it ain't good for those of us who are law abiding citizens. After all, it is common knowledge that criminals won't be turning their guns in. Why? Because they need them.
For example, when I was a mechanic, I lived by the wrench. I wouldn't turn my wrench in because then I couldn't provide for my family.
Why would criminals turn their trade tools in? Then they wouldn't be able to live or provide for their families.
The White House has made it abundantly clear that the prez himself is about to use the mighty pen to write up some new gun laws. If this doesn't concern you, maybe it should. After all, this dude is happiest whenever his pen is in his hand at the ready. Besides, the journey of a thousand miles always starts with that first step.
In other words, they've gotta start somewhere to get the wheels spinning.
As of late, we are all but guaranteed that he is going to be changing something. In fact, our fearless leader met with anti-gun mogul Mike Bloomberg recently, just to discuss what actions could be taken to go after guns. Something will be happening in the near future that will likely target the “gun show loophole” and the way some guns are purchased.
Clearly, these people haven't the slightest clue. First of all, as we have already discussed, this loophole doesn't exist. AND, all this executive action will do is send more people to the gun store to buy more of what makes them happy. Not to mention the impossibility of enforcing such nonsense. Most of America's police officers are already stretched out as thin as they can get. So, adding one more thing for them to worry about isn't going to help.
Now, I'm about to ask you a question. But, before I do, I want you to know that I'm not a lobbyist, nor do I have any specific agenda other than keeping the ability to protect and defend my own family.
So, we've established that some people want to change our gun culture. What are you going to do about it?
Or, perhaps the better question would be, what can you do about it?
Will you just curl up into a ball and let the liberal fanatics take away your rights? Or, will you stand and fight? Now, I feel inclined to say here that I don't mean to physically stand up and start lobbing lead down range. That would be ridiculous and totally counter productive.
What I do mean is that you need to get involved, somehow, if you're not already. What does this look like? If you don't already know who your local legislators are, find out and start sending them correspondence. Let them know how you feel about your rights. Let them know that Americans will not back down.
Also, if you're not already a member of an actively fighting organization, join one. Sure, the NRA is the biggest, but if you don't jive with them, find a different one.
They're out there.
What's the point? Our nation's fearless leader has made it abundantly clear within the past couple of weeks that he intends to fight America's gun laws tooth and nail. He's going to use whatever limited power he has to attack the second amendment in any way possible. The time is now to stand and fight.
Here are some organizations:
NRA: Everyone has heard of the NRA. If not, crawl back under the rock from whence you came.
NAGR: Or, the National Association for Gun Rights. These guys say that they are 3.5 million people strong, and defend the 2A.
GOA: The Gun Owners of America have been called “the only no-compromise gun lobby in Washington” by Ron Paul.
SAF: Or, Second Amendment Foundation's mission is “dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms.”
CCRKBA: This stands for the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. They call themselves the “common sense gun lobby” and that their role is to educate everyone about firearms.
Statewide: There are organizations in each one of our 50 states that also bear the burden of fighting for our rights at the state level. Each one of these are also worth looking into.
It is almost always better to be proactive, as opposed to reactive when you're talking about your gun rights. Make sure you're helping in some way, before anything changes for the worse. We need your help in this battle. Won't you help us?

I live in New York so our fight is neverending and enormous. I belong to GOA and SCOPE NY. I also write to my local legislators but all I ever get is a letter saying they agree…..but nothing ever happens. Our communist dictator governor has proved that his pen works even better than Obamas.
Let me add that if you live in NY, the NRA is usless. They gave up on us on Jan. 15 2013, when the NY SafeAct was signed illegally in the middle of the night. Most of our RINO Senators signed it, so they are dead to the gun owners in NY. The fact is, our 2nd amendment right is on its way out. The liberal government WILL NOT give up. If Hillary is elected, its over, If ANY Republican is elected, itsover also, just a little slower. Jeb, Trump, Fiorina….all anti 2a……surprised? You shouldnt be, look at thier records. Trump is trying to “business talk” us right into his liberal agenda. He has zero conservative history, but ALOT of liberal views on record. Beware

I belong to all of them, in addition to the USCCA.
