The Glocks

Glocks are world-renowned pistols that give a stellar performance. With extensive adaptation and high sales numbers, it is absolute that Glocks are one of the most popular guns in the world. From the lineage of this awesome weapon comes the Glock 19 Gen 4, a pistol with the perfect size, capacity, and efficiency of the design. It's a reliable and conventional pistol excellent for concealed carry and as a backup pistol. It is arguably the most fitting handgun for both first-time owners and professionals.

Technically, Glock 19 Gen 3 and Gen 4 look exactly the same with the exception of Gen 4 engraved on the slide next to the model number. Glock 19 Gen 4 specs include a new dual-recoil spring assembly that increases the system's life. It has a huge mag release almost double the size of the previous generations. G19 Gen 4 doesn't have a safety switch on the frame rather, it has the Glock safety Action Trigger System making it the safest handgun to handle. Ease of Use and Performance

The Glock 19 Gen 4 is really fun to shoot. A reliable and accurate pistol that even after several thousand rounds, is free from malfunctions. One good defense ammunition to use is the Winchester PDX 124 grain +P because they are powerful and controllable. This gun is not “snappy” rather, it is easy to control and as matter of fact, it is a soft shooter compared to other full-size pistols.

Pros and Cons

Some people may find Glock 19 as ugly and I'm not going to oppose that but let me just remind them, this is a defensive weapon and not an objet d'art. It might not be the best target pistol but its functional appearance works everytime you need it. This pistol is more effective for close-range work. Glock 19s are noteworthy right out of the box but it can be better with a few accessories. It is very easy to break down for maintenance and cleaning.

Overall Verdict and Price

I can never deny, Glock 19 Gen 4 is one of my favorite pistols beside, of course, 1911. It is a very reliable and accurate defense pistol. Even a large percentage of the New York police department uses this weapon and they can attest to its performance. I definitely recommend you to have a Glock 19 Gen 4 for everyday carry or a backup pistol. You can get one of this G19 Gen 4s for less than $600. A reasonable price for a fine piece of weapon.
