Do the clothes you wear matter for your everyday carry? Well, you don't have to be overly stylish, but at least look decent while having easy access to your firearm should the need arise.
There are a lot of ways for you to dress comfortably as you bring your everyday carry gear. You try to keep it concealed as much as possible, but being able to move freely without having to stress yourself if your gun falls is as important. Different men of different professions may not wear the same outfit on a daily basis. Though, the basic things to wear can be applied practically and stylishly in your day to day routine. So take a look at these clothing and carry essentials to keep you ready and protected.
Everyday Carry | Clothing and Carry Essentials
1. Your Weapon of Choice
First, you need to choose your preferred concealable weapon. There's the Glock 26, Ruger LCR, Taurus PT111 — the everyday carry list goes on, and there are tons to choose from. But you have to know the gun very well with respect to its firepower and reliability.
2. Hip Carry Paddle Holster
A traditional way of carrying the handgun by lawmen and police officers, they can draw their gun faster when the situation calls for it. On the other hand, if you're particular about concealed carry, hip carry is not the ideal choice. You'd have to wear a long jacket in order to really hide your firearm.
3. Shoulder Holster
I'm pretty sure you've seen high-ranking detectives wear shoulder holsters in movies. This is also a famous option for law enforcers to bring at least two firearms in the line of duty. Though it's also not suitable for concealment, unless you're a police officer.
4. Ankle Holster
The ankle holster makes excellent concealment yet it's an option usually reserved for smaller handguns. Regardless of the kind of outfit you wear, it keeps you from worrying if your handgun is revealing itself. It's a suitable way for civilians to carry their guns.
5. Sturdy Belt
A reliable belt is not only used for hip carry holsters, but it's really important no matter which method of gun carry you prefer. Aside from needing a reliable belt to keep your gun at bay, you don't want to burden yourself with your pants sagging in a combat situation.
6. Concealment Jackets
If you're going from one place to another, this is designed like a regular work jacket with bigger-than-usual internal pockets. You could utilize the pockets to hold your firearm if you want. Or if the jacket is quite long, it can also prevent the gun from showing from your hip holsters.
7. Hoodies and Sweatshirts
Hoodies are a favorite choice of clothing concealment for civilians who need not worry about dress codes. There's enough bulk around the waist to hide bigger handguns if you need protection going from point A to point B.
8. Business Casual
For individuals who are required to carry a handgun as part of their profession, a business casual outfit is the most popular choice. Personal bodyguards, police officers, and security crews can keep their guns concealed by wearing sport coats and blazers jackets. As long as you're not assigned in Iraq, it's also nice to look sharp in the line of duty.

You don't have to look rugged just because you have a gun hidden somewhere. If you can maintain a smart look then, by all means, dress like John Wick if you want to. Do whatever gives you the confidence to go through the day while keeping yourself and the people around you safe and protected in an unexpected situation.
