Tips For Surviving The Post-Jihad America

Terror attacks are nothing new. Of course, there are those instances which stand out in our minds, like 9/11, the World Trade Center bombing, San Bernardino, Orlando, etc. However, those are just some of the recent terror attacks taking place within America. If you were to look back on history, you'd see that there are a lot of different times where terror has struck America.

To be sure, the United States of America, the freest nation on earth, is the next and likely final objective for the jihadists. I titled this article the way I did, with the phrase “post-jihad,” because the word post in this context means “after.” In other words, the jihadis are already here, in America, awaiting orders as we've seen as recently as the latest attacks.

Europe is already on the verge of collapse under the pressure of radical Islam and America will follow suit, unless we get our heads out of our asses. Here's what we need to do.

ABC:

Always Be Carrying. If you live in a state where you're allowed to carry a gun, you are expected to do so. Take a look at what just happened in Minnesota with the jihad-related stabbings. An off-duty police officer was able to stop the terrorist in his tracks. Had he not been carrying, who knows how many people would have been stabbed by this lunatic.

If you can't carry a gun, carry a damn knife. Carry a stick. Carry something that increases your chances of beating a threat—and know how to use it, should you ever need to.

Swivel Head:

Know your surroundings at all times. You are vulnerable when you don't. This is pretty self-explanatory. Always be aware of what is around you, at all times of the day. For example, when I sit down at a restaurant, my back is always to the wall so I can see everyone around me. Employ similar tactics.

Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet:

That is actually a quote from one of my favorite military leaders, Marine General Mad Dog Mattis. Seriously, this guy is one of my heroes, and this is one of my favorite quotes of his (and there are a lot of his quotes worth reading). This saying is true. It can be broken down like this: you don't need to kill anyone until you do. When you do, have a plan.

Be mentally prepared to kill a terrorist. Personally, I go through mind exercises on a weekly basis that allow me to be prepared to take out a terrorist. More than that, I train weekly with a firearm. I also carry a knife, and am going to start training with it, too. Thankfully in the Marines, we were taught how to knife-fight. I'm sure I'm rusty, so I'll have to seek out training from somewhere.

See something; say something:

The age of being a giant country overflowing at the brim with wussies is over. If we are going to survive, that needs to be done with. If you are currently afraid of labeling someone as a terrorist, who may actually be a terrorist, you need to stop it right now. Listen to what I'm about to say (er, type) very carefully … These terrorists come in all shapes and colors: Brown, white, and black. They all share one common goal: To kill their enemies. The ones overseas are getting creative in recruiting local, home-grown terrorists.

Someone, somewhere, knew these nutjobs were going to attempt a killing spree. That person failed mankind. Don't be that person.

Train hard and train often:

If your self-defense weapon is a stick, know how to use it in defense of yourself and others. Don't laugh, because I have Kali Sticks in my house, placed randomly throughout. I'm not highly trained with them, but I know enough to be dangerous to someone not expecting it.

I also have guns in random places, but I have small kids and don't feel comfortable leaving loaded guns where they can get to them. So, they're strategically placed. Not so strategically out of reach are other things I know how to use, if I just happen to be unarmed (which isn't very often).

Also, there's something to be said about being in good shape. I'm currently far from in good shape. In fact, I'm currently in the worst shape of my life. That's changing.

The point, is that you need to know how to use your chosen self-defense weapons, and be in good enough shape to be able to fight for your life, should the need arise.

Expand your skills set:

Standing there at the range at 7, 10, and 15 yards with static targets at the other end will only help you so much. There may come a time when you need to shoot at a much shorter, or much longer distance than you are used to shooting at. Or, you may need to shoot at a moving terrorist keen on poking holes into innocent people.

If that scenario arises, you need to be able to do something. It's better to train for it now, than wait until it's too late. With things how they're currently going with our limp-noodle president unwilling to defeat the terrorists, and potentially allowing more in with weak borders and thousands of “refugees,” the time may come sooner than later.

Conclusion:

Steel at 500 isn’t the same as the x-ring at 600, Before WWI, and in and after, Marines could hit the mark at 1,000 yards with The Springfield 1903 .30-06 with steel sights. Let us not become proud until we can master that, which was required performance for a long time. Beg your pardon, but 500 is not a distance used by sanctioned NRA matches over the course. 200; standing and kneeling, 300; sitting and prone. 600; prone. Palma Matches begin at 800, then 900, then 1000 -all prone, which was allowed for Marines in the referred to time period.
