The Stoeger Uplander is a classic shotgun design made for today's shooters. Some of the things people would demand these days would be the ability to shoot with larger shot shells in which this Uplander is capable of. It incorporates many of the features of a double barrel shotgun with price tags costing a few thousand more dollars. The Uplander boasts outstanding durability with receivers that will last for many years regardless of how often it's being used.

Pros and Cons

I've had a few dozen rounds with this gun in the range recently and it didn't take too long for me to get used to it. It sure is smooth and accurate I hope they can make semi-autos or 5-shot capacity shotguns with the same feel this gun has. I still want to be able to add a few more rounds without having to reload, a great feature to add to this Uplander.

Overall Verdict and Price

I'm definitely going to buy one of these at $500. I was drawn by the cool walnut stocks and as soon as I shot a few rounds, I thought the price was just right. And if the smoothness and accuracy are the same after a couple of years, they can raise the cost and I'm still going to buy an Uplander.

This gun is simply a bang for your buck. If you're looking for traditional design firearms with excellent performance, you're in for a treat with the Stoeger Uplander. Competition shooting led me to delve into the world of modern guns, but I must admit there are times when I miss the good old trigger pull in the range.
