Bows will always be a staple in the most efficient weapons in the history of mankind. Unlike guns, you can craft one on your own and won’t garner too much attention. Make one yourself using these step by step instructions. Plus, it recommends inexpensive, readily-available materials.

2. Homemade Pepper Spray

Pepper sprays are for everyone: they’re easy to carry, and they are quite useful in protecting you when SHTF. Just spray one in the face of an attacker and quickly make a run for it. This homemade self-defense weapon is really easy to make.  This pepper spray is one of my all-time personal favorites, check it out here.

3. Multifunction Pocket Tool

4. Pump Action Rocket Gun

A post shared by Iris (@akuailu) on

This inexpensive gun makes a great weapon and is a very useful item to have around when SHTF. It’s definitely no rocket launcher but it packs quite a punch and does a pretty heavy damage, too. The DIY is simple and relatively cheap as well. The entire project, including a bunch of ammo, could be fabricated for around $20 only.

5. Homemade Taser Gun

Some people prefer using a taser gun or a stun gun when the going gets tough. But did you know that you can make on your own? Learn more about these homemade taser guns and their step by step instructions here.

6. Primitive Club Tool

This tool is an absolute lifesaver when you find yourself stuck in the wilderness and have nothing else to protect yourself with. Just like our ancestors did in the stone age! You may want to wear some gloves to give you a better grip on it so it doesn’t easily fall off your hands.

7. Homemade Bolt Action 12 Gauge

A homemade bolt action 12 gauge is, perhaps, the closest you can craft next to a gun. Its appearance alone is enough to strike fear in the hearts of many an intruder who would dare make an attempt to antagonize you and your loved ones. 8. War Hammer

A post shared by Dave Gordon (@41stmillenium) on

Other war hammer designs may be a bit more complicated to make since it requires some welding, drilling, and filing. However, this specific design is one of the homemade weapons that are easier to make, and you need nothing more than a black pipe. It’s a simple design, and the name says it all. Never underestimate the power of the war hammer! Sure, you may prefer the likes of a two-handed sword or an ax but this one is much more versatile. Also, should worse come to worst, why opt for a hand-to-hand encounter when you can make it a lot easier on yourself?

9. Saw Blade Tomahawk

A post shared by James Cutlery (@james_cutlery) on

As you can probably already tell, this is one unique homemade weapon. The name leaves very little to the imagination when it comes to the destructive nature of this weapon. This saw blade Tomahawk is inexpensive to make provided you have the all the right equipment and materials

10. Flamethrower

A post shared by Stoller 7 Blue (@justsmalls) on

This flamethrower will lay to waste any that crosses its path and will fit in a normal backpack. With an air compressor, a diesel nozzle, a fuel tank, hose, and some fittings, you’ll have a flamethrower! What I love about this homemade flamethrower is it can run on tiki torch fuel. It feels like living your video games fantasies making this one. We recommend grabbing this one from Amazon.

11. Trebuchet

A post shared by Jen Meulendyks (@jenerekmd) on

This classic weapon will annihilate anything that comes its way. This giant trebuchet packs a lot of punch, catapulting things with immense force. Click here for the instructions on how to make a homemade trebuchet.

Who knew an old lunchbox could become a weapon? You can use airsoft pellets for this. But since you’re making a landmine, practice extreme caution. You might be making this one for fun but things might go south for you and those around you if you aren’t careful in handling it
